I think they are appalled at the wantonness of the SEC-Texas move. It just kicked EIGHT decent schools to the curb. The fact that USC didn't just jump to the Big Ten is an indication that they want to at least try to do things differently.
I think the alliance is trying to feel their way through all of this with no specific action plan. But they want to move forward together. The ACC's role in this is interesting.
